Privacy Policy

Bag Lite is an offline Android packing checklist developed by TechWebster. This policy explains how the current app handles your data and how this website differs from the app.

Data stored by the app

Bag Lite stores the checklist names and item names you enter, the packed or unpacked status of each item, and local identifiers that associate items with their lists. These records are saved in a Room/SQLite database in the app’s private storage on your device and used to display, update, and reuse your packing checklists.

You control what you enter. List and item names may contain personal information if you choose to include it. The app does not require a name, email address, account, or other profile information.

Access, use, and sharing

The current app does not send checklist contents to TechWebster or operate a backend. It has no advertising or analytics SDKs, account system, or in-app cloud sync. TechWebster does not receive or sell your checklist data through the app.

The current app does not request access to contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos, or shared storage, and does not declare internet permission. Its Android libraries add an internal signature-protected permission for app components; this is not a request to access your personal data.

Storage protection and system backup

The database uses Android’s app-private storage, which normally restricts access by other apps. Bag Lite does not add its own database encryption. Device security depends in part on your Android system, device settings, and access to the device.

Android backup is disabled in the current app manifest. There is no Bag Lite cloud backup or restore feature. Device-to-device transfer behavior may vary by Android version and manufacturer, so this setting is not a guarantee that a device migration will never transfer data. Do not rely on the app to preserve lists after uninstalling or changing devices.

Retention and deletion

Checklists remain in the app’s local database until you delete them or the app’s storage is removed. You can remove an individual item or delete an entire list and its items from within the app. Resetting a list clears only its packed checkmarks; it does not delete the list or item names.

To remove all locally stored Bag Lite data, use Android Settings to clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the app. The exact settings labels vary by device. These actions remove the active app data; they are not a forensic secure-erasure guarantee and may not remove copies made through device transfer or other system tools. TechWebster has no server copy of your checklist data to retrieve or delete.

This website and email contact

This website does not include analytics scripts, advertising, tracking cookies, contact forms, or a backend. The interactive checklist illustration runs in your browser’s memory and resets when the page is reloaded; it does not save or send the example selections.

When this site is hosted, the hosting infrastructure may process connection information such as IP addresses, requested pages, browser information, and request times to deliver the pages and maintain the service. The provider and its logging and retention settings have not yet been selected. This policy will be updated with applicable hosting details before public launch. Website requests are separate from your offline app checklists.

If you email TechWebster, we receive your email address and the contents you send through our email service. We use that information to respond and retain correspondence as needed to handle your inquiry. Ask us about deleting correspondence at the address below. Do not send sensitive information or your packing lists unless needed for your inquiry.
